What is a RAW image?

A RAW image is an image file that contains low amounts of processed data from a digital cameras sensor.

P4 and D2- Editing images

After completing my shoot and importing my photos into Lightroom, I was required to edit my images to make them better than they are. When editing my images I used a brush tool to put a mask to cover a specific area for me to change the appearance. Once he mask is covering the correct part of the image I will then adjust the settings to the right of the screen. These settings can be for example the exposure, the shadows and the blacks with the whites. These settings will change the brightness of the image and how much certain parts stand out from the rest.  The top image is the original image and the bottom image is what I did to edit in Lightroom. As you can see I edited this image to make it look like of a evening shot. I achieved by using the brush tool to go over everything except the windows and I changed settings such as saturation and temperature as well as increasing or decreasing the blacks, the whites and the shadows in the image. P5- Exporting my images onto my PC

To keep all my photos and edits organized I have created folders to ensure that I know where each individual file is and that I don't lose it. The folder will be split into original shots, edited shots and other screenshots, this will make it easier to to send files if needed as they are organized in their own folder. I will probably then create a new folder for where I will place my exported images and they will be exported as a JPEG file.

LO2: Plan a shoot

The purpose of my shoot is to showcase 'Beautiful Doncaster. I will be going around Doncaster taking a variety of photos that shows Doncaster as a great place using my style of photography. My style of photography is urban landscape so I will be taking photos in the town centre and other villages that showcases how fantasic mankind's construction of buildings are. I will take 10 photos that captures Doncaster beauty. The first images will take is of the graffitied wall next to the bus station. This will be shot in colour so you can really capture the detail in the artwork and the golden ratio will be used as the main focal point of the shot will be the women positioned towards the right.  My second photo will be next to the tunnel underneath Frenchgate and it will capture vehicles exiting the tunnel.
