P4 and D2- Editing images

Image
After completing my shoot and importing my photos into Lightroom, I was required to edit my images to make them better than they are. When editing my images I used a brush tool to put a mask to cover a specific area for me to change the appearance. Once he mask is covering the correct part of the image I will then adjust the settings to the right of the screen. These settings can be for example the exposure, the shadows and the blacks with the whites. These settings will change the brightness of the image and how much certain parts stand out from the rest.  The top image is the original image and the bottom image is what I did to edit in Lightroom. As you can see I edited this image to make it look like of a evening shot. I achieved by using the brush tool to go over everything except the windows and I changed settings such as saturation and temperature as well as increasing or decreasing the blacks, the whites and the shadows in the image. This made the walls look as if the sun is...

M3- Use a range of composition techniques in your images

Image
I shot this image from above a motorway on top of a bridge in Hatfield, Doncaster. In this mage you can see the light trails I managed to incorporate which are the lights on the cars. To achieve this I lowered the shutter speed to 6 seconds and waited for to pass below. This meant that it took 6 seconds for the image to taken so it stretched out the light from the cars.  This is a low angle shot of a tree and bench in Sandall Park. By taking this photo from a low angle, it makes the tree look large and clearly shows it his the main focal point of the shot. In addition, I managed to get a bench to the right of the tree which follows the golden ration rule as it is not dead center of the image. This image highlights the combination of nature and mankind's creations.  For the image shown in Adobe Lightroom, this is a portrait shot of the Church in Doncaster town center. By taking a portrait shot, it shows that the Church is main focus of my image. To edit this image, I will maybe...

P3- Show evidence of you changing your camera settings

Image
To shoot some of my shots I will need to change some of the settings on my camera to make sure that my photos are at a professional standard. The settings I will need to adjust is the aperture, shutter speed and settings so that I can make my image black and white when I shoot outside the church. Changing the aperture on the camera will either increase the size of hole in your camera lens or shrink it. By increasing the hole, more light is let into shot and by shrinking the hole, less light is allowed in therefore creating a darker shot. Below are some of the best images that I took unedited:
